Hi everyone!

My name is Samantha. I'm helping my Mom, Julie, get back into running. It's been over 20 years since she was a consistent runner, but loved it and always talks about 'those days':)! I have been a pretty consistent runner, but took a 8 month break (ouch!) and am trying to get back into the swing of things myself now. We have decided to 'do it' together...the only catch is that I now live in Florida and she is still in Green Bay. We touch base (2nd week) and i guess you could say 'journal' with each other and give support through the phone and email, but it would be very helpful to her to get into a group atmosphere and meet some new motivated people. I am emailing her the group runs on Saturday and Wednesday as a start, but any extra help or small group runs would be great tooo! (also, im the one posting because she is getting more internet savy, but not quite there yet:) )

Any comments or stories on coming back to the running scene definately welcome too!

Have your Mom attend the Saturday runs starting 8/16 at Voyageur. Our club webmaster Randi or I will run with her. Our goal is to get as many people running as possible regardless of the pace, we'll find them a buddy.

Tell Mom we all fall out of running for a while, it makes coming back more fun.
